God Is For You

God is for you.

He’s for you because He belongs to you and you belong to Him. He is yours, and you are His. He’s your Father. We are His children.

We’re learning to become sons and daughters by that I mean mature sons and daughters who represent Him. How do we do that? By looking like Him. You’ve heard the saying, “He’s the spitting image of his daddy.” What does that mean? It means he carries the characteristics of his father good or bad. And that’s what our Father is after in us that His characteristics would be seen by others.

Not just seen, but lived. He has given Himself to us. He lives in us. And as we learn to be loved by Him, we find ourselves loving others. That’s how we live the life He has given us.

Notice the following quotes.

George MacDonald—Unspoken Sermons

Here’s the first quote:

“Good souls, many will one day be horrified at the things they now believe of God.”

That’s a strong statement. But what he’s saying is this: there are a lot of sincere, good people who one day will see more clearly and realize some of what they believed about God simply wasn’t true.

Now here’s the one I really wanted to share:

“Blessedly and wonderfully, never are we alone. Within us all lives the Father’s faithful Son—the One anointed in the Holy Spirit, the humble brother of the human race… the lover of neighbors, enemies, and the whole creation. It is His passion that we be free and whole and right, overflowing in His life. And like His Father, the Son does not abandon His creation.”

Think about that.

He’s saying that Christ—the One who loves neighbor, enemy, and all creation—is in you.

He does not abandon His creation. That means He does not abandon you. In your darkest moment, He is there.

I’m just sharing from the heart here, but I want you to know this: God is with you.

In John’s Gospel, it says,..

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

That phrase “with God” means face to face—close, intimate, inseparable.

And that Word became flesh.

He entered into our humanity, stepped into our darkness, and brought life. Scripture says nothing exists apart from Him. That means you cannot exist separated from Him.

“In Him was life, and that life was the light of all humanity. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”

We are never alone.

Jesus said in John 14:20,..

“In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you are in Me, and I am in you.”

The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are not distant they are present, active, working in your life. Bringing understanding. Awakening love. Teaching you how to love others even your enemies.

There’s a beautiful prayer in Psalm 90:

“Satisfy us in the morning with Your lovingkindness, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.”

Another way it’s expressed is this:

“Let the sunrise of Your love end our dark night… only You can satisfy our hearts, filling us with songs of joy to the end of our days.”

His love is what ends the dark night.

His love is what heals grief.

And He is right there with you.

Right there.

In you.

He is for you.

He strengthens you.

He encourages you.

You are not alone.

If you want to know what God is like, He is the God who is there.
