you are loved

You were chosen in love before time.

May we renew our minds to this truth.

May we come to the place where we know that we are loved and being loved we are embraced and being embraced, we are held and being held… there’s a peace in that. That’s what I want for you. Peace. Peace that comes from the love of God poured out in your heart—because you know Him, and you know that He knows you and loves you.

Ephesians 1:4 says:

“In love He chose us before He laid the foundation of the universe.”

Think about that.

Before creation, before time as we know it, God did something concerning you and me. He chose us. How did He choose us? He set His heart on us. We were in His heart from the beginning.

“In love He chose us before He laid the foundation of the universe… because of His great love He ordained us so that we would be seen as holy in His eyes, with an unstained innocence.”

That’s God’s perspective of you.

Holy.

Innocent.

Unstained.

Face to face with Him.

That’s how He sees you. Another way this has been expressed is this: God found us in Christ before we were ever “lost” in Adam. And really, the truth is, He never lost us we were the ones lost in our own thinking, believing the wrong things about Him.

From the beginning, God’s heart was set.

Before time, He associated us with Christ.

Jesus is God’s mind made up about us.

In His love, He always knew He would present us face to face before Him in blameless innocence. That’s not something we’re trying to become—that’s where we already are in Him.

And it’s not just something external, like it’s been added on. You were created in His image and likeness. He is your Father. You are here because He gave you life.

He chose you in Christ before the world began.

Jesus has accomplished His work. He came, lived, died, rose again, and ascended. And now there is a Man in the Godhead Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Think about that.

Humanity has been brought into the very life of God.

This is where we’ve been included even before time began.

If this begins to settle into your heart, it will change how you live. You’ll begin to enjoy life and enjoy God as you walk with Him.

Faith awakens in us as we encounter the good news of what God has already done.

We are in Christ.

That’s not something we achieved it’s something God accomplished.

Jesus entered fully into our humanity into our darkness, our lostness, even our sense of separation and overcame it. Not for a select few, but for all. He stepped into our deepest places and led us out, bringing us face to face with the Father.

All of this happened while we were still lost in our own thinking.

And now?

We are alive in Him. Raised with Him. Seated with Him.

So set your mind there.

“Christ’s resurrection is your resurrection too… so let your thoughts be filled with heavenly realities, not just the distractions of the natural realm.”

Your life is hidden with God in Christ.

And when we talk about “heaven,” we don’t mean some far-off place. When Jesus came, He brought His world with Him the kingdom of heaven.

And now that life is available to us.

Right here. Right now.

Life abundant.

He simply invites you to live with Him in this moment to enjoy Him, and to enjoy the life He’s given you.
