God in Christ, From the Beginning

Awesomeness! I hope you’re still with me. I’m just sharing what I believe God is showing me. I know I’m not the only one on this journey, but for the last ten years or so, I’ve been walking through this ongoing revelation: God was in Christ.

And it all centers around the Incarnation—that God Himself became a man. But here’s the powerful part: He set it all up before He ever created anything. That’s how we know we’re included—because Jesus is the last Adam.

In Adam, All Die... But That’s Not the End

I came across a verse a few years ago that shook me:1 Corinthians 15:22-23

“As in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.”

We heard the first part growing up: “In Adam, all die.” That was drilled into us. “Everyone’s born a sinner. Under wrath. Condemned. You better get right with God!”

Oh mercy, let me just speak some truth.

I’m grateful for my roots, I really am. But the concept of God I grew up with? Angry. Vengeful. Just waiting on me to mess up so He could cast me into hell.

Maybe that was just my understanding at the time. But here’s what I’ve come to know: God is good. He’s a Father. And He fixed it before He ever got started.

Let’s Go Deeper

This is the third blog in this little series. (If you missed the earlier ones, we started with 2 Peter 1:3—God has already deposited in you everything you need for life and godliness. Just ask Him:“Lord, are you in me?”

Jesus said, “My sheep hear My voice.” You couldn’t even breathe without His life in you. You are made in God’s image. You bear His marks. You are co-creating with Him.

That’s why when you change your thoughts, your life changes too—because you’re creating with Him.

You’ve Been Set Apart

Then we looked at 2 Timothy 1:10—how God gave us resurrection life and confirmed our union with Jesus even before time began.

And here’s the verse I meant earlier ( Galatians 1:15-16):

“But when God, who had set me apart even from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me…”

Paul wasn’t just special. You are too. God formed you in the womb. He was pleased to reveal His Son in you, not just to you.

So when Paul preached to the Gentiles, it wasn’t just about Christ. He was saying: God is in you—just like He’s in me.

That’s wild, right?

What Adam Messed Up, Jesus Fixed Up

Let me ask you: what part did you play in what Adam did? None.

And yet, we’re told we’re born separated from God, sinners by default, under condemnation... until we believe?

But listen—God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting our sins against us.

We didn’t reconcile Him. He reconciled us.

So what do we do? We wake up to it. We acknowledge it. Accept your acceptance! And we proclaim it.

We become ambassadors of reconciliation, calling out:

“Be reconciled to God! Why? Because He’s already reconciled to you."

The Ephesians 1 Explosion

Now let’s walk through Ephesians 1 in the Passion Translation:

Verse 2:“May God Himself… release grace over you and impart total well-being into your lives.”

Come on—total well-being. That’s what grace does.

Verse 3:“Every spiritual blessing… has already been lavished upon us…”
Verse 4:“And in love He chose us before He laid the foundation of the universe… holy in His eyes with an unstained innocence.”

Holy. Innocent. Already chosen.

Verse 5:“It was always in His perfect plan to adopt us as His delightful children.”

But hold up—“adopt” here means something deeper than legal paperwork. It’s about establishing you into full maturity. You’ve always been His.

Verse 6:“The same love He has for Jesus—He has for us.”

Whoa. Let that sink in.

You Were Found in Christ Before You Were Lost in Adam

François du Toit puts it like this in the Mirror Bible:

“God found you in Christ before He ever lost you in Adam.”

Yes and amen.

Redemption Is Done

Verse 7:“We’ve been given the treasures of redemption… the total cancellation of our sins…”
Verse 9:“He unveiled His secret desires… the hidden mystery of His long-range plan…”
Verse 11:“Before we were even born, He gave us our destiny…”

Final Thought

Here’s what I want to leave with you today:

God in Christ is in you. You’re not trying to get in—you’re already included.

More soon. Grace and peace to you.
