God Our Father

I pray you’re enjoying all that Papa has for you.
There’s a passage of Scripture that came to mind—Ephesians chapter 3. Let me read it real quick:
“For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name.” —Ephesians 3:14-15 (NASB)
That’s what I wanted to get at. What’s your last name? Mine is Alderman. I received that name from my father. That’s how it works—names come from fathers. And Scripture says every family, in heaven and on earth, gets its name from our Father—God.
I don't know where we picked up the idea that every person born into this world is born a child of the devil. The devil doesn’t give life—he doesn’t father children.
The Scriptures plainly tell us something different. Psalm 139 says God formed you in your mother’s womb. David wrote it, but David wasn't special. He was just like us. You were formed in the darkness of the womb, by God. He beheld you, saw your unformed substance. Verse 16 even says your days were written in His book before there was even one of them.
“You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me.” —Psalm 139:5
David is saying: God has you covered. Behind, before, and with His hand on you. He's got you.
He’s the Father of all.
There’s another verse in Ephesians 4 that brings more clarity:
“One God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.” —Ephesians 4:6
You can try to dance around that “all,” but it says what it says. He is the Father of all. Our very life is a gift from God. It’s in Him and through Him that we live, move, and have our being (Acts 17). We couldn’t exist without the One who birthed us and placed us here—because He wanted relationship with us. With you.
Now, I know we talk a lot about being saved, being born again—and all of that’s good. I’m not saying it’s wrong. But listen to this:
“He gave us resurrection life and drew us to Himself by His holy calling on our lives. It wasn't because of any good we have done, but by His divine pleasure and marvelous grace that confirmed our union with the Anointed Jesus, even before time began.” —2 Timothy 1:9-10 (Paraphrased)
Before time began, God did something that included you and me. Jesus became a man, lived our life, died our death, and raised us up to resurrection life. What He did—He did not just for us, but as us.
That resurrection life? It’s already been deposited in you.
Everything you need for life and godliness—it’s in you. Christ in you. So stop striving. Stop struggling. Scripture says we were enemies in our minds. Just like Adam, when he ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. There were two trees in the garden, remember? One was the Tree of Life.
That’s the one we now partake of—the Tree of Life.
But like Adam, we still try to “fix” things ourselves. We run and hide in the trees of our own doing, trying to cover up what we think is wrong. And God comes walking in the cool of the evening, just like He did with Adam, saying:
“Where are you?”“Who told you that?”
Who told you you were naked? Who told you you were separated? Who told you you were unloved?
We’ve got to start listening to the voice in us. Christ in you won’t lead you astray. That’s the voice of Life.
He’s the Savior of the world.
God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself—not counting our sins against us. (2 Corinthians 5:19)
What Adam messed up, Jesus fixed up. Jesus came into our darkness and into our lostness. He didn't just die for us—He died as us.
And now?
There’s flesh—our flesh—face-to-face with God. That’s where we are. That’s where you are. In Christ, you are face to face with the Father.
“This truth is now being unveiled by the revelation of the Anointed Jesus, our Lifegiver, who has dismantled death, obliterating all its effects in our lives, and has manifested His immortal life in us by the gospel.” —2 Timothy 1:10 (TPT)
That’s the gospel.
Not that Jesus came to save you from an angry God needing a blood payment. No—He came to show you the Father. To show that God was always for you, always seeking you, always calling you into the dance of life, Father, Son, and Spirit.
Jesus is the tree of life. And He’s available—right now.
Think about it. If you want to talk more about this, I’d love to connect—just reach out to me on Facebook. I’m not here to argue, but I love deep, real conversation.
There's a life in you that will enable you to be all God designed and desires you to be—the life of Christ in you.
Be blessed, and have a wonderful evening.
